On this week’s podcast episode, we explore the Taurus Full Moon and its polarity with Scorpio as we begin Scorpio season. From Taurus’ esoteric phrase, “I see, and when the eye is opened, all is illumined,” to Venus retrograde at the final degree of Libra and Mercury retrograde in Scorpio, we reflect on beauty, aging, intimacy, and the values that shape our relationships. We explore how to balance security with surrender, reconsider inherited standards of beauty, and recognize what becomes visible when we slow down enough to truly receive.

Then, we are joined in conversation with Seattle musician and songwriter Hannah Ramone. We reflect on their Taurus Midheaven, and the ways music can give sound to experiences that might otherwise remain underwater. We tune into Hannah’s new single, “The Sweetness,” and also enjoy an early preview of Hannah's forthcoming song “In the Garden,” featuring Darla Rae.

Also, on this episode, we celebrate the living creative lineage of Seattle’s music community by honoring the late Gary Mula, a gifted musician, recording engineer, and producer whose work helped generations of artists bring their music into the world. We listen to two of Gary’s songs, “Purple Crush” and “Listen”, reflecting on his birth chart: Jupiter + Neptune in Scorpio 12th House. Together, these musical offerings invite us to consider how art carries memory, how creative communities sustain one another across generations, and how the sweetness of being alive can emerge through connection.

This week, we explore the Libra New Moon and Venus retrograde in Scorpio. From my journey up the Northern California coast toward Vancouver Island, I reflect on how Venus retrograde connects us with past chapters of love, identity, creativity, and belonging, and how revisiting old stories can reveal what has changed and what is ready to take a new form.

Also, on this epsiode, we have a Libra Panel, and are joined by three Libra's: Panda Landa, Mary Evans, and Dana Balicki for a conversation inspired by the Justice card from the Wild Unknown Tarot, featuring two cats whose tails meet around the world while each occupies its own space. Together, we explore what these wise cats can teach us about consent, accountability, belonging, and maintaining connection without abandoning ourselves. We also look at Panda Landa's art, and pair one piece of art with each of the 12 Zodiac signs! Tune in to learn your message.

For this Aries Full Moon, we first explore all of the Aries energy in the sky right now, including: Saturn, Neptune, Chiron, Pallas, Vesta and Eris. Then, we welcome the incredible artist, jeweler, and "star witch” Galen Boone to Cosmic Cousins for a wide-ranging conversation about Aries, embodiment, queer lineage, talismanic jewelry, grief, justice, addiction, self-devotion, and pleasure. With Aries Rising and Mars-Eris exactly conjunct their Ascendant, Galen offers a deeply embodied perspective on Aries as an impulse toward life, courage, and self-definition, while also questioning the ways traditional Aries symbolism can privilege patriarchal ideas of “rule.” We talked about their silverwork as “reverential armor,” reclaiming queer words through art, their relationship to queer ancestors and persecuted healers, and the ways jewelry can become a wearable vessel for memory, protection, devotion, and transformation. We also explored the Devil and Star cards, the relationship between impulse and addiction, the sacredness of self-pleasure, th eyear of the Fire Horse, and Galen’s practice of marrying themself as a radical commitment to self-devotion. At the heart of our conversation was a question that feels particularly alive under this Aries Full Moon with Mars in Cancer: What would it mean to stop abandoning ourselves in order to be loved, and instead learn to drink from our own cup?
