This is a fanciful story about Bumps, a "roly-poly little chap, a bit too heavy for his height" who gets his name for always falling down and bumping his head and legs. He sets off with a rabbits foot in his pocket and voyages to No-Such Land, Around every corner encounters adventures with new friends such as "Squeedinks and the Cod Liver Oil," "Colette the Little Dancing Girl." "Jerry and the Wishing-Ring." and "Patsy Ann in Birdland." - Summary by Larry Wilson
