Remember that movie you watched a thousand times on VHS? That TV show you quoted with all your friends? Ever tried to rewatch it now and think... "Oof, that did NOT age well"?

Welcome to Cancel It or Keep It?, the ultimate pop culture courtroom. We're on a mission to re-examine the most iconic media of the 80s, 90s, and 2000s to see if it holds up in the modern world.

Join our two hosts as they go head-to-head in every episode. One is the defender of the past, arguing that context is everything and we shouldn't erase our history. The other is the modern critic, pointing out the cringey jokes, the shocking stereotypes, and the moments that would get canceled in a heartbeat today.

From rewatching Friends and American Pie to debating the legacy of pop-punk and early video games, nothing is safe. We're unpacking it all to answer one question: can we still love our problematic faves? Is our favorite movie a timeless classic or are we just blinded by nostalgia?

Subscribe to join the debate and help us deliver the final verdict.

Sex and the City (TV Show): A Feminist Landmark or a Showcase of White Privilege & Consumerist Fantasy?
    24 Sep 2025
I couldn't help but wonder... was Sex and the City the feminist landmark we all thought it was, or just a glamorous showcase of white privilege and consumerist fantasy? It's time to take off the rose-tinted glasses.

Grab your Cosmopolitan, because we are reopening the debate on one of TV's most iconic and controversial shows. For a generation, Sex and the City was a revolution. It put unapologetic, single women and their female friendships front and center, changing the conversation about sex and relationships forever. But two decades later, how has the SATC legacy aged?

Join us for a brutally honest rewatch as we unpack the show's massive cultural impact versus its deeply problematic blind spots. We celebrate its groundbreaking wins for women on screen while holding it accountable for its shocking lack of racial diversity, cringeworthy LGBTQ representation, and the rampant materialism that defined its version of postfeminism. We even dive into what the original creator, Candace Bushnell, thinks of its message today and how modern critics view the world of Carrie Bradshaw.

This isn't just a nostalgia trip. It's a critical look at whether our favorite foursome were pioneers of female autonomy or just symbols of a very specific, very privileged, and ultimately flawed brand of empowerment.

So, was it a feminist dream or a problematic mess? Hit play, subscribe, and then settle the ultimate debate in the comments: Are you a Carrie, a Miranda, a Charlotte, or a Samantha who saw the flaws all along?

  • The Case for CANCELING Eminem

    The Case for CANCELING Eminem
    19 Sep 2025
Is Eminem a lyrical god or a problematic monster? Let's be real, there's no middle ground. For 25 years, he's been the ghost in the machine of hip hop—a technical virtuoso, a lyrical genius who sold more records than Elvis or The Beatles. But he also built an empire on a foundation of shocking misogyny, blatant homophobia, and breathtaking violence.

In this episode, we're putting his entire legacy on trial. We're not just playing the hits; we're dissecting the controversial lyrics that made Slim Shady a household name and a target for organizations like GLAAD. We explore his carefully crafted persona as the "white trash" rebel and ask the ultimate question of authenticity in rap: where does the art end and the artist begin?

This is the ultimate debate, weighing his undeniable skill against the undeniable damage. In the era of cancel culture, can we—and should we—still listen to Eminem?

Pick a side and press play. Subscribe now to join the ultimate debate on one of music's most brilliant and troubling icons. Share this with the biggest Eminem fan (or critic) you know. The arguments start now.

  • American Pie (Movie): A Hilarious Teen Comedy Rite of Passage or a Festival of TOXIC Masculinity?

American Pie (Movie): A Hilarious Teen Comedy Rite of Passage or a Festival of TOXIC Masculinity?
    16 Sep 2025
Warm apple pie, Stifler’s Mom, and that one time at band camp. For a generation, American Pie was the hilarious, must-see teen comedy—a rite of passage. But does this 90s classic hold up in 2024, or does it feel more like a festival of cringe?

This week, we're putting our nostalgia on trial. We rewatched the movie that defined a million sleepovers to ask the uncomfortable question: Is American Pie a harmless romp about awkward teens, or is it a deeply problematic showcase of toxic masculinity and consent issues?

    We debate:
The Jokes: Are they still funny, or do they make you wince? We break down the most iconic (and most questionable) scenes.
Stifler's Legacy: Was he a lovable idiot, or the blueprint for a generation of toxic bros?
The Hidden Camera Glitch: We have to talk about that webcam scene. Was it a joke, or something much worse?

Grab your slice of pie and get ready for a conversation that’s equal parts hilarious and horrifying. Can we still love the movies we grew up with when they get this problematic?
