Camel Assembly Radio is brought to you by Yelda and Keshia, founders of the global womxn's movement Camel Assembly.

What began as a brunch in 2015 has turned into an international movement, driven by a mission to see people #marchingdaily: channeling the passion and vehemence of a protest or march into everyday efforts towards self and community.

Each week, Keshia Hannam (speaker) & Yelda Ali (DJ) share stories from their lives and everyday experiences in New York City, plus invite two influential women to speak on topics unrelated to their work. Funny, moving, inspirational and well-represented, Camel Assembly Radio is the sound of a community of women who are using their gifts and energy to improve the world and stand for what they believe, daily.

    BONUS EPISODE - FOUNDERS Q&A
    30 Apr 2020
Yelda, an Afghan artist and activist, and Keshia, a multi-racial speaker and writer, have built Camel Assembly communities around the world together as business partners for four years. But they're also best friends, and have journeyed through peace and pain to build theirs and each others' dreams. Though not unscathed, they are full of anecdotes, insights and misperceptions about the other; they lay some of those out in this special bonus episode of Camel Assembly Radio, as well as sit with the silent third partner of this series, Dani DiCaccio (artist name KYOSi) to learn who she is and how to say her last name properly.

    23 Apr 2020

If you’ve ever thought, "that person puts me in a really bad mood,” or even, “this situation just ruined my day", this episode will speak to you. Camel Assembly founders Yelda and Keshia sit with New York City's culture leaders Liv The Lurk and Dylan Ali to discuss why even when our reaction is the only thing we can control, the environment we're in so often gets the best of us. Being aware of our own emotional triggers is how we can start to alter our reaction to them.
