  • Standing in the Messy Gap
    28 Sep 2026

Have you ever felt like you're downloading a message from God, but the wheel is just spinning? You're buffering, waiting for the pieces to come together? This week, the picture became crystal clear.

In Ezekiel 22:30, God says, “I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand in the gap before me on their behalf... but I found no one.”

Think about that. Let it rest in your heart. We all have a gap we are called to stand in—for a person, a city, a community, or a child. But standing in the gap isn’t clean, and it rarely happens on our timeline. True, radical, self-giving love means remaining faithful whether it takes two minutes or twenty years. In this live message, we dive deep into what it actually looks like to hold up each other's arms:

    • The Battle of Exodus 17: Joshua won the war not because Moses' arms were held up and the battle instantly stopped, but because Aaron and Hur stayed steady through a whole day of grueling, ongoing warfare.
    • The Reality of the "Punching Bag": Drawing from raw experience working on an ambulance, we look at how hurting people thrash, kick, and scream at the very people trying to save them. Radical love means staying in the gap even when it hurts.
    • Bypassing the Blame (John 9): When the disciples saw the blind man, they wanted a theological debate: "Who sinned?" But Jesus didn't care about the backstory. If you show up to the ER with a broken leg, you don't want a lecture on how you fell off the ladder—you just want the doctor to fix it. Jesus was strictly concerned with restoration.

Stop looking for who got what wrong. Stop agreeing with the report of destruction, and start standing in the gap for restoration. The person you are holding up today might just be the one breathing life back into you tomorrow. Because love never fails.

  • Standing in the Gap | Rise Men’s Conference 2026

Standing in the Gap | Rise Men’s Conference 2026

At the 2nd Annual Rise Men’s Conference at Family Worship Center in Moulton, Alabama, on September 26, 2026, I had the opportunity to share a message from James 5:16 about the power of prayer and what it means to stand in the gap for others.

We’re not called to live only for ourselves. We’re called to pray for one another, carry each other’s burdens, and believe God for breakthrough in the lives of those around us. This message is a reminder that your prayers matter—and that sometimes someone else’s breakthrough begins when you’re willing to stand in the gap.

“The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” — James 5:16

  • Provisions in the Heart of Darkness
    20 Sep 2026

What do you do when God’s plan for your survival sends you directly into enemy territory, using the exact things you were taught to avoid? In this episode, we dive deep into 1 Kings 17 to uncover the radical, upside-down way God protects and provides for His people.

We walk through how God systematically shatters human traditions and expectations. First, He sustains the prophet Elijah using ravens—scavenger birds considered strictly unclean by Jewish law. Then, instead of keeping Elijah safe in Israel, God sends him directly into Zarephath. This wasn't just a foreign town; it was a Gentile city in Phoenicia, the spiritual epicenter of Baal worship, and the literal hometown of the wicked Queen Jezebel.

Under normal cultural and religious conditions, a holy man of God and a pagan woman would never cross paths, let alone work together. Yet, God orchestrates a multi-year partnership of survival, protection, and radical courage. We unpack how this vulnerable widow risked her life daily to hide Israel’s most wanted prophet, and how God sent love, grace, and bottomless provision straight into the heart of a dark and wicked place.

Key Points Unpacked in This Episode

    • The Shock of the Ravens: Why God used naturally selfish, unclean birds to deliver clean, life-sustaining bread and meat.
    • Sustained in Jezebel's Backyard: The profound irony of God feeding His prophet supernaturally right under the nose of the enemy, proving Baal had absolutely no power over the drought.
    • A Multi-Year Risk: Looking at the immense daily courage of a Gentile widow who didn't initially know Yahweh, yet stepped out in faith for years to sustain a man of God.
    • Love Across Borders: How God crosses deep cultural, religious, and political barriers to bring life where there is only death.
