In this prophetic briefing at an Awake Arizona gathering, Hal Sacks — speaker, filmmaker, and author of Unshakable — opens with a simple but urgent message: this is not church as usual. God wants to brief His people on what they need to hear for today.

Drawing from his Jewish roots and decades of ministry, Hal unpacks the Hebrew depth behind two foundational words — Shema (to hear and obey) and Shalom (to destroy the authority that establishes chaos) — and makes the case that hearing God requires stillness, intimacy, and surrender, not just religious activity.

The heart of the message centers on three overlooked parables from Luke 5: the patched garment, the new wineskin, and the preference for old wine. Hal argues that what Jesus was warning the Pharisees about then directly mirrors what the Church faces now — the temptation to patch God's next move onto old structures, the resistance to being remade into new wineskins, and the comfort of staying with what's familiar.

Hal weaves in his personal history at the birth of the Jesus Movement, a 1984 prophetic vision of widespread devastation he believes is unfolding now, and the sobering call to go through the current cultural, moral, and political shaking as unshakable people — not because the shaking isn't real, but because God's shaking is mercy, not judgment, designed to reveal what was built on human ambition rather than His word.

The session closes with a call to respond: not just to receive insight, but to surrender structure, become new wineskins, and renew our minds for what God is about to pour out.

Reformation & Revival: The Call to Take Territory
Lance Wallnau
Session 2 | Start the Year Off Right 2025 Conference

Description:

In this electrifying session, Lance Wallnau unpacks the urgent call for believers to move beyond passive faith and actively engage in reformation and cultural transformation. Known for his pioneering teaching on the Seven Mountains of Influence, Lance breaks down how the church must shift from a revival-only mindset to a revival + reformation strategy—where believers are equipped to occupy media, government, business, and culture with Kingdom authority.

Through biblical revelation, prophetic insight, and compelling storytelling, Lance exposes the dangers of religious complacency, challenges Christians to break out of old paradigms, and equips them to become dangerous to the kingdom of darkness. He explains why revival alone is not enough to change a nation—and how we must step into the gates of influence to displace principalities and bring heaven’s agenda to earth.

🔥 Key Takeaways:

• The difference between revival & reformation—why we need both
• How the church must invade the “secular” world and reclaim culture
• Why 90% of believers are called to influence outside the church
• Understanding the spiritual battle at the gates of culture—media, government, business, and beyond
• The power of strong, strategic prayer in advancing God’s kingdom
