The Batty Fang Podcast is hosted by me, B aka Bridget the Goblin. I am a paranormal investigator, weirdo, rabbit-hole-er, conspiracy theory lover and all things odd. I've been co-hosting Spellbound Salem Radio (SSR) for the past few years. While that one isn't dead, I was limited to the tie-in to Salem but now I can go bat sh*t crazy.
.What IS batty fang? It's an old term to mean thoroughly thrashed/to beat something to death (metaphorically)... and even if I've heard a topic before, if I think it's worth highlight, it'll be on an episode! Stay tuned!

    IN THIS EPISODE:

For Episode 11, Tales from the Crypt-ids, we will jump into the edge of the rabbit hole that is Cryptids. What started as research for a general episode on the topic led to Paragem’s first official cryptid investigation. From the pages in Reddit to trampling along through the woods with strangers, join in on the journey! There will definitely be more to this story as a documentary is in the works.

The intent is to get you thinking about all of the creatures out there we have yet to discover. Have you had an encounter with a cryptid? Is there one lurking in your backyard? There could be! They seem to hide so well on the fringes of what’s in sight in everyday life.

Batty Fang Podcast is hosted by me, Bridget (aka Bridget the Goblin). I co-hosted the pod Spellbound Salem Radio for over three years (currently on hiatus) and launched this adventure for my love of all things different outside of Salem, Mass. I am a paranormal investigator with over 7 years of experience, a certified oddball, lover of antiques (aka 'junkin') and an aficionado of the bizarre. When I'm not out exploring haunted locations or searching for hidden treasures at antique shops, I'm deep-diving into the unusual stories that captivate the mind and stir the spirit.

  • E10: Forgotten By Design

    IN THIS EPISODE:

In Episode 10, Forgotten By Design, I talk about Paragem’s trip to the Peoria State Hospital -- a visit that opens the door to a deeper conversation about asylums and sanitoriums, poor farms and the women whose lives were shaped by coverture laws.

If you’ve never heard of a poor farm, this is a good place to jump in. These were institutions where families, communities and counties placed people they didn’t know how -- or weren’t equipped -- to care for. Many were elderly, disabled, mentally ill or simply inconvenient in a system with few safeguards.

This episode explores the people who lived there, the systems that confined them and why so many were quietly erased from history -- not by accident, but by design.

Welcome to the Batty Fang Podcast — where the strange, eerie, and downright weird come to life! If you're drawn to the unexplained, paranormal, and all things wonderfully odd, you’re in the right place. Each episode takes you beyond the box — exploring haunted places, strange histories, peculiar professions, and the mysteries that make life a little weirder (and a lot more fun).

I’m Bridget — also known as Bridget the Goblin — a paranormal investigator with over five years of experience, a lover of antiques, and a proud aficionado of the bizarre. After co-hosting Spellbound Salem Radio for three years, I launched this adventure to celebrate curiosity and the strange beauty of the unknown.

So, grab a seat and get ready for some strange company — because here, the unusual is celebrated, and the paranormal is just another day at the office.

    In this episode:

IT’S HALLOWEEN, Y’ALL! 🎃 I’ve thawed out and I’m back to celebrate All Hallows’ Eve with a little something I’m calling weirdo travel. Basically, it’s how to plan trips full of strange sights or turn an ordinary trip into a weird adventure.

In this episode, I dive into one of the most popular spooky destinations — Salem, Massachusetts — but don’t worry, even if you’re not heading there, I’ve got you covered. I’m sharing how I collect ideas to build trips straight from my wildest, weirdest dreams, how I use apps to stay organized, how I budget for big adventures, and most importantly — how to find weird ish wherever you go.
