    • Eric Elkus- Ambassador of Baseball in Switzerland
      Apr 4 2019

In the inaugural episode of BachTalk I speak to a friend and former baseball teammate from Earlham College Eric Elkus. Eric finished his career with 26 Hrs, 138 RBIs, and a slugging of .503.  What I really wanted to talk to Eric about though, is after a year out of school he has decided he is not done playing baseball after all! We talk about what he did next and how he secured a spot in Independent ball. He will spend the next 90 days as an ambassador for the sport of baseball in Switzerland. Who even knew that was an option? We also talked about what it took to go from a really unimpressive freshman year in college play to becoming the all-time school statistic leader in Homeruns and RBIs for Earlham College. I hope you enjoy my discussion with Eric.  Remember - Be Yourself!

    • Karl Ellison- Lake Erie Crushers
      Apr 4 2019

In the second episode of BachTalk I am so excited to be talking to Karl Ellison as he gets ready to depart for his season with Lake Erie Crushers in the Frontier Independent Baseball League. Karl was always the catcher that I looked up to playing baseball and grow growing up in the Cincinnati area. He was always the catcher that you had to bring your "A" game to compete with. Karl has the kind of talent that allowed him to be recruited by Vanderbilt University. He has the kind of talent that put him in the position of catching the winning pitch in the College World Series in his freshman year play. After finishing his college career with truly impressive statistics at Lynn University in Florida he decided to take a break from playing while he considered coaching and what his next step would be. Please join me in hearing how Karl came back from injury to set himself up for success at the next level of play. Remember - Be yourself

    • Trey Ganns- Southern Illinois Miners
      Apr 4 2019

In the third episode of Bach Talk I have the privilege of talking to Trey Ganns. Trey is one of the few people talented enough to be a two-way player at the division one college level. He was drafted by the Boston Red Sox after and impressive career at Northern Kentucky University. We talk about what it’s like to be both a pitcher and a position player and the unique challenges and opportunities that come with that talent. Trey was hindered by injury last year and I get to talk to him about what he’s done to put himself in a position of being successful at independent league baseball with the Southern Illinois Miners. We talk a lot about what it takes to have a successful swing as well as all the workouts Trey uses to make sure he’s in the best physical condition possible for the next stage in his career. I hope you enjoy this episode is much is I did. Remember - Be Yourself
