  • Leave It at the Cross: A Military Wife's Journey of Faith and Healing
    Oct 2 2026

You can know you are forgiven and still walk into church carrying all of it. You can know the bill will get paid and still feel your stomach knot in the grocery store. Knowing something and feeling it are not the same thing.

Nick Davis sits down with Karen Meese: a military spouse of 19 years, a mother of three, and now someone who works alongside Nick helping others through the same process she went through. Karen describes years as "the watcher," always scanning for threats and feeling everyone else's pain as her own, and what changed when two memories she could not stop replaying finally went quiet. Then they turn to faith: how a Christian can approach this work with discernment, and why Karen leads people to the cross.

    In this episode:

    - What constant hypervigilance can look like for a military spouse
    - Why Nick treats trauma and emotion as two different things
    - How a painful memory can shift from reliving it to simply observing it, in Karen's experience
    - Why fear about money can stay intense even when the bills are covered
    - Why you cannot always reason your way out of an emotional loop
    - Why people are often afraid to let go of an emotion, and whether anyone wants it back
    - How Karen approaches this work as a Christian, and what "no take backs" means at the cross
    - What "be slow to anger" has to do with your testimony

Karen's story is her own experience, not a promise of results, and nothing here is medical advice. This conversation speaks to Christians in particular; Nick works with people of every belief and shapes the process around what is comfortable for them.

  • She Fought for Her Son. Then for Herself.
    Sep 19 2026

When your child is struggling, everything else waits. The appointments, the research, the six hours a day in the car. Your own weight goes in the backpack and you carry it, because that is what parents do.

Nick Davis sits down with Christine, a mother who spent years fighting to get her son help after a PANS diagnosis and severe OCD left him barely able to leave the house. What she did not expect was being told that the family had to heal too, or discovering how much she had been carrying without ever calling it anxiety.

    In this episode:

    - Why a child's healing can stall if the household stays in survival mode
    - What OCD actually looks like day to day, from a parent who lived beside it
    - How people can carry years of stress without ever recognizing it as anxiety
    - Why difficult experiences can stay active in the body long after the event
    - How the language parents use, "you need to" versus offering a real choice, changes what a child hears
    - Why a diagnosis can quietly become an identity, and what Nick suggests instead
    - What Christine would say to someone who is afraid that opening things up will make them worse

Christine's story is not a formula and nothing here is medical advice. It is one parent describing what changed for her family, in her own words, including the parts she did not see coming.
