Janet S Abadir and Sheyvah Rex

Here is a video of the first time I was interviewed for a podcast. Janet S. Abadir is a former surgeon from Alaska. We spoke about prayer and discipleship and the power of the presence of God. She wrote a book called Drink from the River of Delight: Welcome to God’s Healing Space in His Word which also has a great audio version.

Do you want to experience the supernatural in your life?

“Prayer is the slender nerve that moves the muscle of omnipotence.” Charles H. Spurgeon

When you spend time in prayer, God speaks, God reveals His nearness, and God’s Word comes alive.

How can we rely on God? He will provide, He will heal (in this life or the next), and He will answer (yes, no, or wait). 2 Timothy 1:3-7 encourages us to fan into flames the gift of God, and we see that it’s in community that we find the answers to those prayers.

Sheyvah Rex is currently reading Brother Lawrence, The Practice of the Presence of God.

Is God moving you towards deeper relationships? Discipleship is just the process of growing more like Jesus with other believers through prayer, Bible study, and accountability. Ask Him to lead you and He will bless your desire with great fruitfulness. Grab a friend and work through Janet’s 9 week online Bible study, Ride the Wave to Joy. Check out her website for free resources, and connect with her in a one hour session where you can seek God together through the Bible and prayer.
