Episode 7 – Anish Patel: From the Poker Table to the Comic Book Page

In this episode of the All-In Poker Podcast, I’m joined by Anish Patel, the writer and creator of Final 9 — a poker comic book with a story that has been 20 years in the making.

Anish and I first met across the poker table at the Goliath 2026, where he introduced me to Final 9 and the incredible story behind the project. What started as an idea two decades ago has grown into a unique poker-inspired comic book, combining Anish’s passion for storytelling with his love of the game.

We chat about how Final 9 came to life, the journey Anish has been on over the past 20 years, the challenges of bringing a project like this to reality, and what keeps him pushing forward after so long.

We also talk about Anish’s ambitions for the future — including the dream of seeing Final 9 brought to life as an animated TV series and eventually sitting on the shelves of the new WSOP Store in Las Vegas.

It’s a great conversation about poker, creativity, persistence and what can happen when you refuse to let go of an idea you believe in.

🎙️ Listen now and discover the story behind Final 9.
