Aliens Explored is a UFO, UAP and unexplained mysteries podcast hosted by professional actors Stu Jackson and Neil Kelly.

Stu is an amateur ufologist with a particular interest in crop circles, bringing curiosity, open-mindedness and a willingness to ask whether there really might be something going on.

Neil is a former military intelligence analyst, bringing a more skeptical eye, sharper questions and a deep need to see the evidence before getting carried away.

Together, they explore famous and obscure UFO sightings, alien encounters, abduction claims, government secrecy, conspiracy theories, strange events, unexplained mysteries, and the wider culture of belief, doubt and disclosure.

After 169 original episodes and two years away, Aliens Explored is back with a sharper format, fresh discussions, a new YouTube channel, and plenty of strange stories still to investigate.

Open minds. Sharp questions.

  • September 2026 UFO/UAP News: Why Does the Pentagon Want a Private UFO Archive?
    3 Oct 2026

The Pentagon wants access to a vast privately held collection of historical UFO records. What could decades of civilian investigations add to the government’s own files?

In this solo September 2026 news roundup, Stu covers AARO’s proposed archive access, the sixth PURSUE release, new Galileo Project research into measuring UFO distance and movement, more than 1,000 pages of Navy UAP correspondence, the NSA’s response concerning Immaculate Constellation, whistleblower developments and several other significant stories from the month.

The central theme running through many of them is access to information — and the difference between simply having more UFO material and having evidence scientists can actually test.

  • PURSUE Tranche 6: Six UAP Files Worth a Closer Look
    25 Sep 2026

The latest PURSUE release contains 72 UAP records — but they are not all equally revealing.

In this solo episode, Stu selects three documents and three recordings that deserve closer scrutiny, ranging from Edward J. Ruppelt’s 1952 Air Force presentation and an unusual AAWSAP paper on reported biological effects to recent military sensor cases and a lengthy Colorado law-enforcement sighting.

The central question running through the episode is simple: when a report contains striking estimates but the released evidence lacks complete range, altitude or sensor data, how much can we reasonably conclude?

Although the original video version contains the released footage and document extracts, the evidence and its limitations are explained throughout for audio listeners.

  • UFOs for Beginners Part 2: UFO Timeline — WWII to Project Blue Book
    11 Sep 2026

Did the modern UFO story really begin at Roswell?

Stu and Neil start their journey through the early history of the modern UFO phenomenon with the strange “Foo Fighter” reports of the Second World War, before moving into Kenneth Arnold’s famous 1947 sighting, the arrival of the term “flying saucer”, Roswell and the US Air Force investigations that became Project Sign, Project Grudge and Project Blue Book.

Along the way, they discuss how language and popular culture may have affected the way UFOs were reported, why the Roswell story changed dramatically over time, the recurring role of balloon explanations, and what we should — and shouldn’t — infer from Project Blue Book’s thousands of investigated cases.

The timeline continues next time with the remarkable events over Washington DC in 1952.
