Sian talks to John Caird

John Caird is one half of the dynamite directing team along with Trevor NUNN of the original London production of Les Mis at the Barbican and the Palace and then all over the world in 1985. He is a Stage Director and Writer of plays musicals and operas and an Honorary Associate Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company. His stunning endless energy and ideas in all these areas makes him one of the most exciting Directors and he with Trevor made the most wonderful musical of our time. He is long time principle Guest Director of the Royal Dramatic Theatre Stockholm and author of Theatre Craft, his most recent production is a stage adaption of Hayao Miyazaki’s Spirited Away in Tokyo and on tour in the West End at The Coliseum. Other recent work includes a new musical Estella Scrooge in New York and Knights Tale in Japan. He continues to excite, educate and entertain us all over the world.

Patti was our original FANTINE. She has three Tony awards, 2 Oliviers and 3 Grammys, she is in the American Hall of Fame. Best known for her for FANTINE and Eva Peron, Rose in Gypsy and most recently Joanne in Company. She has been in so many shows, TV shows and Films including American Horror Story, Hollywood, Penny Dreadful, Agatha All Along and she appeared alongside Val Kilmer in As you like it, Nancy on Broadway opposite Ron Moody. She does Musicals, Television and Films to the highest calibre and most recently she did Beau is Afraid a Film with Joaquin Pheonix. She is regarded as one of the greatest Broadway Performers of her generation.

Sian talks to Roger Allam

Roger was the original Javert, he has played many many roles for the RSC, TV and Film, As a six time nominated and three time Olivier Award Winner, most memorably for Falstaff in Henry IV part 1 and Henry IV part 2 at Shakespeares Globe, he is one of our greatest actors of our time, most recently loved for his role as DI Fred Thursday in Endeavour for ITV, Illyrio Mopatis in HBO's Game of Thrones, Royalton in Speed Racer, Lewis Prothero in the 2005 adaptation of V for Vendetta and as Peter Manion MP in The Thick of IT.

Mary Hammond, vocal coach to the stars and thousands of performers over the years, she worked on over 100 professional al shows with science and technology and enthusiasm to look at how to make these new sounds that were required to move musical theatre onwards, she trained at Royal Academy and then Formed the first musical theatre course there that dealt with making the more”modern” sound. Actor, singer and wonderful vocal coach to Sian. Anyone who was lucky enough to meet her has been touched and nurtured by her excellence, stamina and joy.

Sian talks to Peter Polycarpou

Peter was the original Jean Prouvaire, Pimp and Inn Keeper he went on to be cast as Thernadier. He has carried on performing in many west end shows, he created the role of John Thomas in Miss Saigon and was the Phantom in Phantom of the Opera, he has worked for the RSC and most recently been receiving rave reviews for Hello Dolly in the Lido Paris, you may recognise him as Chris Theodopolopodous in Birds of a Feather. He is an Olivier award nominee and has just finished filming in a JJ Abram’s Movie with Samuel L Jackson.

Sian talks to Rebecca Caine

Rebecca was the original Cosette and has carried on performing all over the world, she relocated to open as Christine in Canada in Phantom after playing her in London and has performed many shows in the West End. Her brilliant light soprano voice with that elusive floating top “c” has also given her a massive career in Opera making her debut at Glyndebourne as Amor in L’incoronazione Di Poppea. She made her west end debut at just 19 as Laurey in Oklahoma, she continues to perform on stage most recently Nettie in Carousel in London's West End.

He was recently Lord Fuller in Bridgerton for Netflix and in HBO's House of Dragon, he was in The real Charlie Chaplin, The Witches, Red Dwarf and more and continues to entertain us throughout our theatres in the West End and UK.

Nick is a non executive vice chairman of Cameron Mackintosh Ltd, he was there at the beginning of Les Mis in casting, developing, listening and has followed its journey to the present day. He has served on boards of the English National Ballet and Lyric Hammersmith and Tricycle Theatre. He was the original exec producer of Cats, Song and Dance, Les Mis, Phantom, Follies, Miss Saigon, Martin Guerre,Carousel, Mary Poppins, Hamilton and many more, he is an encyclopaedia of Musical Theatre from the late 70's upwards.
