Hello hello….guess who. Today the boys bring you a piece of vinyl that is just a great album, and would probably sound unbelievable on a jukebox. It’s the album that took Lionel from a pop group to the band that we all know and remember them for. In fact, when Nubs listens to it he goes into a trance. And when Toph listened to it, it moved him. So, in this episode – we hope we made some sense…but we aren’t gonna beg you to listen to it. We ain’t the beggin’ type. But if you do nd you miss any of the important parts, you can always rewind and listen to it all over again. So give us a chance, we think we could be could together, please think about it thanks.

Toph leads the discussion and review of The Prayer Chain's 1995 album ‘Mercury' – including, as always, albums + songs on our radar and much more!

Genre bending? Absolutely. A masterpiece? Likely. Killer opportunity to discuss a whole genre and scene of music beloved by the brothers?? You betcha. Come with us down a joyful road as we revisit, what many would say, is the best "christian rock" album ever created -- by a rebellious, southern California bunch that knew what they were doing, and pieced together something most who followed this genre of music had simply never heard before. Regardless of the fact that most fans of The Verve, Curve and The Choir had. But who's counting. Let us revive, let us remember, and let us discuss the ups and downs of the christian music scene...breaking up with girlfriends...staying in tents in rural Illinois...and other influential bands such as Skullhead, Mama's Head Trip, The Shooks, The Favazza Brothers, and Faith +1. Just to name a few. Lastly, we make our plea for the Wings to make the effing playoffs. Please. Lord. Enjoy part two!!

Nubs leads the discussion and review of Peter Gabriel's 1986 album ‘So' – including, as always, albums + songs on our radar and much more!

Healthy debates ensue, from Toph's Top Five selections to whether songs that are obvious love songs are actually love songs or not. (Can you tell who wrote this) Regardless, both dummys agree this mid 80's blockbuster from the always interesting -- and occasionally fun -- former Genesis frontman was a doozy to walk through. And we hope you enjoy it.

Episode 19 of Toph’s Top Five, the 2T&A spinoff sweeping the nation, focuses on simplicity...hitting it down the middle of the fairway...giving the people what they want...and of course, shaming Nubs for being so mean to these gosh darn Heartbreakers all the time. Hard working, serviceable backing band. That just puts in the work. Hits the heavy bag. Brings their lunch pail to the shows. So lay off 'em. Nubs. Tune in and enjoy!
