Earth has a Goa’uld problem… and SG-1 just walked right into it.
In this episode of the Star(X) Podcast, Mike and Jenae dive into the Season 1 finale of Stargate SG-1, “Within the Serpent’s Grasp.”
After the Stargate program is shut down, SG-1 decides to take matters into their own hands and uses the coordinates from Daniel’s alternate-reality experience to travel through the Stargate. But instead of arriving on another planet, they find themselves aboard a Goa’uld mothership.
And it gets worse.
The ship is heading straight for Earth, carrying A Klorel—the Goa’uld now controlling Skaara. With an invasion fleet on its way, SG-1 has to figure out how to stop the attack, rescue Skaara if they can, and somehow get back home before Earth becomes the Goa’uld's newest conquest.
We talk about SG-1 going rogue, the insanity of boarding a Goa’uld ship headed for Earth, Skaara’s fate, Jack’s attempt to reach the person still trapped inside Klorel, and that massive Season 1 cliffhanger.
