Description
One month to reset your metabolism for lasting fat loss.
One week to discover the carbs that are right for you.
The surprising truth is that we are genetically wired to eat more and move less, the exact opposite of the advice we are often given. Now there is a more customized weight loss solution that works with your body, a solution based not on arbitrary restriction of foods but on what works for you. Developed by former research biochemist, health expert, and best-selling author Robb Wolf, Wired to Eat offers an eating program, based on groundbreaking research, that will rewire your appetite for weight loss and help you finally determine the optimal foods for your diet and metabolism.
With his best-selling book, The Paleo Solution, Robb Wolf helped hundreds of thousands of people lose weight by eating a low-carb Paleo diet, but Paleo is only a starting point, not a destination. Now, he'll share a more customized way of eating that may be the key to permanent weight loss and better health. You'll start with Wolf’s 30-Day Reset to help you restore your body's blood sugar levels, repair your appetite, and reverse insulin resistance. There are more than 70 delicious recipes, detailed meal plans, and shopping lists to aid you on your journey. Wolf also includes meal plans for people who suffer with autoimmune diseases, as well as advice on eating a ketogenic diet. Once you've completed this phase of the plan, the unique 7-Day Carb Test will help you determine what amounts and types of carbs you can tolerate.
No more guessing. Now you can find out for yourself which foods you can and cannot eat, instead of relying on a one-size-fits-all diet. Transform your diet by discovering your personalized weight loss blueprint with Wired to Eat.
Includes a PDF of the Food Matrix, a Test Your Carbs Table, and Recipes for Weight Loss and Beyond.
PLEASE NOTE: When you purchase this title, the accompanying PDF will be available in your Audible Library along with the audio.

would not recommend advice found on this book
listen at your own risk.
Robb wolf is a coach... not to be confused with an expert in nutrition, also not a doctor, and he pals around a lot with the functional medicine/naturopathic community. please refer to actual experts for quality advice. I also would like to add unless you have celiacs disease, gluten is not the devil and for the love of God don't do keto.

Convergence of Information
Robb's latest book can best be described as an intersection of information pipelines. It compiles information from a variety of sources: Robb's head, paleo research, medical research and various other folks in the ancestral health and functional health fields. I loved the original Paleo Solution book and I think this is a nice update/augmentation.
I particularly enjoy the advice on personal nutrition. Even though I am mostly compliant on a LCHF ancestral diet, I struggle to lose weight. I have grooved toward keto and fasting, observing solid results. But I've been thinking "a life without carbs" will be difficult. I fully plan to take the 7 day carb test to find the real villains in my story.
As for the performance, Kaleo was fine and a good orator. I kept hearing Robb's voice though! As a frequent podcast listener (Paleo Solution) certain phrases jump out and almost seem unnatural coming from not-Robb. This is one case I would have preferred the author narrate his own book.
Overall a great listen and highly recommended. Bravo Robb! Keep breaking down conventional wisdom.

Great book, but missing something...
When I bought this through Audible, I didn't realize it was a 30-day diet reset. The book is well-written and narrated, however it refers to the "PDF" containing recipes. The audible version did not come with a PDF, and I haven't found a link except the one with shopping lists. It would be nice if the audible description clearly stated that it was incomplete. I would have purchased it in print.

Good info delivered poorly and in too many words.
What disappointed you about Wired to Eat?
Largely about what I "Will be told" or what "Will be discussed". Could have been 1/3 as long.
PDFs referenced frequently but I got no PDFs with the audio book. How do I get them??
What character would you cut from Wired to Eat?
Every sentence that contains the word "will"

Good book, Fairly good reading
I enjoyed the science and research that went into this book. I'm starting my 30 day Reset today! It's jarring & annoying to have to listen to mispronounced scientific / medical / nutrition terminology. The narrator did a fairly good job, but there were still several instances (I.e. Bu- TIE?! - rate) that just throw me off my concentration. Then I have to rewind to listen to those passages all over again so I can hear what was being said.
That said, the book itself is fantastic! I would not have read it this quickly without the audible version so I am thankful for that. Just remain disappointed that somebody didn't listen for the mispronunciations before publishing the final version ...

Excellent stuff
Robb put some very good stuff in his new book. It's good to see a reasoned approach to health. There is way too much extremism. People take up a position and it becomes a religion. I have been Paleo for years and it's not a religion. It's just a reasonable way to eat. Lots of fresh vegetables, some fruit and some quality meat. Nice to see the science.

Poorly written, poorly researched, unoriginal
What would have made Wired to Eat better?
I would have enjoyed this book more if the author actually had credentials for the subject matter and referenced actual clinical data for his claims and statements.
What could Robb Wolf have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
The author makes assumptions that the reader has no previous knowledge of the subject
How did the narrator detract from the book?
The narrator did a great job
Any additional comments?
There are so many other books out on the subject of food and health I recommend the following: why we get fat, the end of over eating, or the hunger fix as alternatives to this poorly thought out book
