    Wild Side is a quietly compelling romance that builds its emotional weight through nuance rather than constant high drama. At its core, it explores trust, grief and the fear of rejection... and how love can grow in the middle of responsibility and emotional restraint. Rhys and Tabitha work well together because of their contrast: his steadiness against her sharp edges, his patience meeting her defensiveness. The angst is effective and mostly well-earned, though a few moments of resistance felt slightly forced, as if the story needed extra friction instead of letting the emotional logic unfold naturally. What truly elevates the book is the family dynamic. Milo is central to the story’s emotional impact, and the evolving bond between him, Rhys and Tabitha adds warmth and depth that grounds the romance. The balance between romantic development and shared responsibility is especially satisfying and gives the story a sense of maturity. While it may not surpass Wild Eyes for me personally (West can't be compared, I said what I said.), Wild Side stands strong as a tender, emotionally grounded addition to the series. Proof once again that Elsie Silver knows how to write romance that feels lived in rather than idealized.
