    Description

Increasingly astronomers recognize that if the cosmos had not unfolded exactly as it did, humanity would not, could not, exist. Yet, these researchers - along with countless ordinary folks - resist belief in the biblical creator. Why? They say a loving God would have made a better home for us, one without trouble and tragedy. In Why the Universe Is the Way It Is, Hugh Ross draws from his depth of study in both science and Scripture to explain how the universe's design fulfills several distinct purposes. He also reveals God's surpassing love and ultimate purposes for each individual.

Why the Universe Is the Way It Is will interest anyone who wonders where and how the universe came to be, what or who is responsible for it, why we are here, or how and when the universe ends. Far from leaving the listener at this philosophical jumping-off point, Ross builds toward answering the big question of human destiny and the specific question of each listener's personal destiny.

    Hope in a challenging world

Ross’s weaving of science and Scripture is masterful. His conclusions offer reasonable arguments for hope in a chaotic time, and beyond Time.

    Great Book

I stumbled across the concept of a fine tuned universe on a podcast called Red Pilled America. I believe that there's a creator just by seeing the thin atmosphere around earth in pictures from space. The number of things that combine to make it possible for us is amazing.
I personally liked the description of the new earth the best.

Excellent, it's already on my relisten list. *****

This book gives a small light into the unfathomable realm of time, space, God, his creation, and the role we as humans take in such a unlikly yet uncoincidental time and place in this universe..

Facts Presented Against vs.For Intelligent Design

I was impressed the author layed out incredible facts pertaining to the earth's formation and placement in the cosmos. He addresses the issues that the exact placement of the earth in the universe to sustain life at this point in time couldn't possibly be random and why? The mathematical impossibility that all the myriads of dynamics that you would need to come together in exactly a certain point in a billions of years time spectrum is astronomical. He states some major points. He also gives bible scripture showing that it tells exactly how the earth was created; and now that we have the science how it confirms that process. I really enjoyed this book because he used scripture from the bible as his most credible source, then other famous astronomers and scientific studies. This book will leave you with a deeper sence of personal reverence for your God and Father, creator of the universe. If you aren't a believer you may even become one, because this is how this author became convinced to surrender his life to Jesus Christ.

Paints vivid mental and spiritual pictures are.

The Fingerprint of God was my first of Hugh Ross' books I read years ago. Have read several more since. This is great too. A lot of depth and explanation.

    Assumptive reasoning is key

Many of the extrapolations presented are beyond the capacity of current human understanding to be disproven and therefore cannot be proofs. The repetitive nature of the discussion was mind numbing. This is pure apologetics wrapped in a veneer of astrophysics. I had hoped for better.

    Intriguing

Worth listening to, especially about the explanation of the way things are set up at the right moment and the right time.

    Engaging Audiobook

This is a Christian theology course, in the light of the latest discovery of science. The universe is the axiom of God.

    1. If the universe is reasonably
    2. Must have a reasonable cause
    C. That reason Is God.

Scientific explanation for the creation of the universe.

A succinct and logical well written book that leaves the reader no doubt about the divine creation of the universe. An excellent book to help witness to our agnostic/atheist friends and family members.
