Description

Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki are both concerned. Their concern is that the rich are getting richer, but America is getting poorer. The entitlement mentality is epidemic, creating people who expect their country, employer, or family to take care of them. And like the polar ice caps, the middle class is disappearing. America is becoming a two-class society, and soon you will be either rich or poor. Trump and Kiyosaki want you to be rich.

Both are successful businessmen and natural teachers who share a passion for education. They have joined forces to address these challenges, because they believe you cannot solve money problems with money - you can only solve money problems with financial education. Trump and Kiyosaki want to teach you to be rich. Why We Want You to Be Rich was written for you.

Great Book - Worth Listening

I was leary at first, because I think Donald Trump is quite arrogant, but I was impressed. No doubt he brags about himself here and there through out the book, but it is also filled with tid-bits of wisdom and new ways to think about things.

This book is very much a big picture, high level thinking, the way you view the world, paradigm evaluating type book. It help me personally refine and shape a few of my own ideas and inspired me to set some new goals.

I would highly recommend it to anyone who is a Trump or Kiyosaki fan, or who is looking for some motivation and self evaluation on their own road to success.

Dubious content lacks substance

This audiobook begins with Donald and Robert praising each other's wealth, then moved into a series of questions that each answers independently of each other. There are small morsels of business insight, but very few. Most commentary is of a "think big, and be big" nature, with many platitudes and little substance.
The most dangerous aspect of their message is to denounce the "Richest Man in Babylon" and "Wealthy Barber" theory of saving, investing, diversifying, and living within your means. Instead we are told to live beyond our means, and leverage ourselves into wealth.
Without providing any specific insights or details. There is a caveat provided that if you cannot do this successfully, then you shouldn't do it at all.
Overall their messages are contradictory, trite, and self serving.
For non-sophisticated investors and the average salaried worker, more practical and useable books are the two mentioned above (Babylon, and Barber). For business insight, any of Jack Welsh's books (GE CEO) are inspirational and provide tons of useable business knowledge.

Wrong Title

The title to this should be how we became friends. This book is all over the place and really is a rehashing of earlier books by these two.Nothing really new here. Save your money this book isn't worth it.

Great for Improving Mindset

I've previously read some of Trump's work as well as a couple of Kiyosaki's books, so I was familiar with some of the content already.
I enjoyed getting a deeper look into the way these two men think and why they make the decisions they do. I read a lot about business and investing, and this book had some fresh thinking which was a nice change of pace.
As an entrepreneur myself, I was able to get some good insight into how to think about business.

If you are looking for specific examples of how to get rich quick, this is not the book (and beware of any that make this claim). However, it is a great book for getting you to start to think in a way that will lead you to wealth and business ownership. A good starting point for future books that cover the specifics of what they talk about.

My favorite quote was "the people with the most security have the least freedom - those in maximum security prison." A great visual for getting out of the employment "security" mentality.

I would recommend this to someone who is on the fence about leaving their "job" to start a business.

Great for changing you mindset.

This book mostly reinforces the rich dad principles. It is a book on just what the title says. Robert and Trump telling you why they want you to be rich. Do not look for strategies or specifics in this book.

What A Great Motivational Book

This was a great book that will motivate you & change the way you perform your job or business. I enjoyed this book as much as I enjoyed Robert Kiyosaki's Rich Dad Poor Dad. Although it is the first book I have read from Donald Trump, his points of view on business & personal drive are very inspirational. Since I read this book it has helped me utilize my time in every day more wisely & profitable. I recommend this book to anyone who has the need to learn more about business and the direction of they're investments.

Nothing New Here

I regret this purchase, but I highly recommend The Art of the Deal by Donald J. Trump.

Nothing Special

I was expecting more from this book. There were a few thought-provoking moments but other than that mostly Common Sense ideas were presented in different ways

Two Good Men, One Great Message....

What did you love best about Why We Want You to Be Rich?

The fact that is is not a how to book. In conversation tone. These guys just talk about how they got to where they are. With mishaps along the way.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Both seem like good guys, from different places and upbringing. To come together in the first place make both guys likable....

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

The person that asked the question, the guys could have been sitting in a room together for all I care. This made them seem too distant..

If you could give Why We Want You to Be Rich a new subtitle, what would it be?

So you want to be RICH?

Mostly Hight Level Information

Not a bad book if you are interested in high level information on how these two men have accomplished some great things in real estate, but I found this other audio book "Trump Strategies for Real Estate: Billionaire Lessons for the Small Investor by George Ross" gave more low level information on how some of trumps deals got done and some more strategies in real estate investing.
