Unseen Academicals is the seventh book in the Wizards series, but you can listen to the Discworld novels in any order. The first book in the Discworld series—The Colour of Magic—was published in 1983. Some elements of the Discworld universe may reflect this.

Not a vintage Pratchett, and annoying voices
This is a late Pratchett, and the book is clearly suffering from the effects of Sir Terry’s embuggerment (Alzheimer’s): the plot and narration are not straightforward, the characters hardly memorable (for his standards). Not a bad book, but not great.
This is made worse by the voices, with their heavy faux-cockney accent and high pitched tone which make it hard to focus on the story.
