Many theologians, Bible scholars, and others have written commentaries on the Old Testament, attempting to explain the intent and spiritual implications of its ancient writers. Beginning with Genesis and culminating in Malachi, Unholy Dilemma analyzes Old Testament statements and claims in light of history, science, human physiology, archaeology, and plain common sense. The results are fascinating, compelling, and at times perplexing.

Biblical myths and superstitions are examined for what they are. Claims that contradict natural science are questioned. Acts of genocide are examined and challenged. Where I found truth and moral instruction, that too is highlighted.

Unholy Dilemma begins without a predetermined agenda regarding the accuracy or truthfulness of Old Testament Scripture. The information I discovered when I turned over a specific rock is what I discuss. I add nothing and take nothing away.

The book also examines the striking differences between the Gods of the Old and New Testaments and the claim that they are one and the same entity, despite their apparently different natures.

Unholy Dilemma makes no attempt to be religiously correct or adhere to established dogma. The Bible is fascinating—and remarkably accommodating. It contains statements that can support opposing views about God's nature, whether anyone has seen God, and even whether God is surprised by events.

This book offers a different way of reading the Bible and may help listeners decide what value the Old Testament writings have for their intellectual, psychological, and spiritual needs.
