If you care about our democracy, listen to this book.

If you are wondering how you can help save our democracy, listen to this book. Pfeiffer clearly lays out the facts; nothing is ‘sugar-coated’. Pfeiffer provides a realistic checklist of precise things you can do in the short, intermediate and long term to claw our country back from the kleptocrats and burgeoning autocrats. Listen to this book....today. Every day counts as we move one step closer to autocracy. This is NOT a time for complacency. Pfeiffer gives us a practical, workable action list. Listen to the book, then get going on the action items that are doable in your life. There is so, so much at stake. This is different from several of the current political analysis books in that Pfeiffer gives us a road map to get our country back on course. Other books I’ve listened to offer analysis of all that’s wrong or frightening. Pfeiffer talks about the dangers as well. However, he then gives the action checklists. You will feel hope after listening to Un-Trumping America. Let it spur you to action. I can’t recommend this book enough. It really is a must-listen.

A powerful voice for the change we need

This book offers a realistic yet hopeful look at what needs to change and how we can all help effect that change leading up to, and beyond, the 2020 general election. It helps that Mr. Pheiffer's narration is good, much improved from his first book. There's passion and wisdom here, and down-to-earth ideas about what we can all do to help rebuild our democracy. Highly recommended. Get one for a friend, too!

Necessary & Painful

This was a hard listen. Pfeiffer does a masterful job of giving it to me straight, giving me a moment to stay my heart, and continue on the road to redemption. I am a progressive, I’m no fan of centrist Obama, however I am a fan of Obama’s deference for the rule of law. This is a worthy read, a thought exercise. And a necessary pill to swallow.

It's great, Dan

If you listen to Pod Save America, you have likely heard many of these ideas. But the book cogently organizes Dan's thoughts and provides helpful tips for how you can help ensure America's future is bright and democratic.

KABOOM!

Loved it, though the ending Paul Ryan rant was kind of a strange way to end a well though out argument and roadmap for democrats looking for paths to focus their ire toward trump and the emptiness of what we're once republicans.

Honestly, not nearly as good as his first.

I really liked his first book. So I was looking forward to his second book quite a bit. unfortunately it feels like you have heard most of it before. Maybe may fault and a little unfair, given that Pfeiffer lays out most of his views weekly on PSA. However, while listening I was constantly wondering what should be the takeaway. It reads more like a wishlist rather than a to-do list, given that most of it will most likely not happen. I would have appreciate a less gloomy more inspiring message, like in his first book. On top of that the audio quality is not great. If you haven't listened to his first book, start there.
