In a tale of two continents, the Rebel Runaways seek to defeat the illegal activities of slave traders secretly funded by the prime minister and Fotheringay. Joshua, an ex-slave, has the motivation, Charlotte has the skills to fly the airship, and the crew must work together to succeed. Is another cargo of Africans destined for a life of misery? Meanwhile, a Trades Union march in England is being organized to protest against cruel working conditions, unaware that the government and Fotheringay have planned a lethal reception for them.
