Dorothea and Conan make an odd pair - his reserved, scientific personality stands in stark contrast to Dorrie's more talkative, spiritual character. Nevertheless, there's romance in the offing, and voice actress Katina Kalin's lays bare the heart-melting passion in her sultry contralto. A veteran audiobook voice, Kalin's leisurely clip and casual intonation bring authenticity to this character-driven romantic intrigue.
