Narrated by:
For the last twenty years, trans and genderqueer youth have flocked to Camp New Horizons, a trans-exclusive summer camp hidden in Upstate New York. This year, though, the vibe is off.
Newcomer Angela Baker is still reeling from a violent trauma and wants nothing to do with Camp New Horizons. In her mind, transness only puts a target on your back—it’s nothing to celebrate, which is all the other campers seem to want to do. Her attitude doesn’t exactly make her popular, least of all with her cousin and his friends.
But Angela’s refusal to participate is only a harbinger of darker things. As the days pass, campers begin to go missing. Then menacing vandalism appears throughout camp, and the teens can feel it in the air: What has always been a sanctuary is no longer a safe space. Has an outsider discovered New Horizons—or is the threat coming from within?
Stranded in the middle of the woods with no cell service, the campers quickly realize it’s up to them to save themselves. Things are escalating. Everyone’s on edge. Will anyone get out alive? Or will camp be closed for good?

Reviews
“A slasher unlike any you’ve ever read—dizzying and wrathful, trans rage at its best. As always, Kisner shines a light on the good, the bad, and the ugly with unflinching honesty and empathy.” —Alex Ritany, author of Dead Girls Don’t Say Sorry
"As grisly as it is compassionate, Trans Panic! is an utter triumph. Kisner’s latest novel is a must-have for every horror fan and queer reader with the stomach to break open the pages.” —Carlyn Greenwald, USA Today bestselling author of What Happened to Those Girls
“Brutal, gripping, and full of fight, Trans Panic! is a love letter to classic horror and, so crucially, to trans youth. This skin-crawling slasher cements Kisner as a leading voice in the genre.” —CL Montblanc, author of Pride or Die
"A relentless escalation that never lets you exhale. Logan-Ashley Kisner draws you in with the nostalgic warmth of summer, only to peel back the layers and reveal something rotten—evoking the same sensation as a twig snapping behind you, deep in the forest. A masterful blend of genuinely nail-biting horror and self-discovery that champions the strength of queer youth." —Emily Cooper, author of Season of Fear
"Beautifully relentless in its pursuit to show you what trans kids are really owed" —Vincent Tirado, Lambda Literary Award Finalist and author of Burn Down, Rise Up
"Logan-Ashley Kisner gives Angela Baker the final girl treatment she’s always deserved." —Cale Plett, author of Wavelength and The Saw Mouth
