In the world of Bertark, Glazia the Nature Goddess of Water and Life takes a magical power from her sister Ceseka, the Goddess of Destruction, to prevent her from coming to Earth and bringing destruction and death with her.
Glazia puts that magical power inside her newly born daughter Izzaura and gives the baby to her mortal father Milo to raise. For many years, Izzaura’s life is happy and peaceful, until, during her seventh year, her aunt Ceseka returns with a vengeance. To save her father, Izzaura goes with her aunt willingly, and Milo prays to Glazia for help.
Glazia brings that help in the form of pulling two thirteen-year-old besties Toussaint and Kyle through a whirlpool and into Bertarct, where they meet Milo, who has been expecting them. He tells them they are his daughter Izzy’s only hope for rescue and that Glazia gave each of them some of her own power to do it. Now, Toussaint and Kyle must embrace this strange new land and its amazing animals in order to save a little girl and bring her home to her father.
