The moon blocked the alien asteroid and won us some time. That time is about to run out.
Ethan Hershkowitz had been dying of reebs before a private military company paid for his new cybernetic lungs. His debt was to be paid on a classified mission to the Daallo Mountain crater facility, captured by local pirates. But when the enemy launches reckless attacks from the facility, it appears less like they are defending it, and more like they are trying to escape.
Dr. Tahira Piriyeva has the world's attention as she expounds the true danger of the riebeckite threat. When an old friend unexpectedly offers her the chance to be the first to examine a new sample retrieved from the moon, she puts her speaking tour on hold and hastens to investigate. But the journey is not what it seems, the sample is not what she expects, and the even more horrifying truth about the riebeckites' origins begins to reveal itself.
Torpor's End is the action-packed sequel to Riebeckite.
