Al Griot tells this African myth like one of the traditional African bards, the griots. With drums, rattles, the fruits of the flame tree and all sorts of percussion, the story comes to life as if it had really happened... Would you like to delve into the realm of thunder & echo and fathom the forces that shape our society?
Text from Karim Traoré: Die Verlobte des Marabut: Märchen und Mythen aus Westafrika mit Illustrationen von Marcia Kure. Misereor Media Production 1999. Translated by Paul Hopkins. Artwork by Markus Rendl. Recorded at Tonjagd Studio Mannheim.
