She comes back every December.
Same drive.
Same building.
Same waiting room.
Her mother is still there.
But less of her, each year.
Nora doesn't come for answers.
There aren't any left.
She comes because it's what remains.
In the quiet between visits, something unexpected begins.
A conversation.
A shared routine.
A man who understands the weight of staying when there's nothing left to fix.
They don't rush.
They don't define it.
They just return.
Told across six Decembers, The Waiting Room is a quiet, deeply human story about memory, distance, and the connections that form when everything else has fallen away.
Some things aren't built in moments.
They're built in the waiting.
