You can expect to feel Liberation and Self-Emancipation
After this amazing self-realization experience, I feel as though I understand and accept myself holistically, this book has helped me see the blank canvas in everyone and thing I have the pleasure to encounter. My outlook had been rigid and mostly shrouded in fears and doubts. I have been holding on to years of complex self protection because I was afraid to be abandoned and although I celebrated being a prideful lone wolf while hiding behind my spiritual vanity, I also secretly created a self-imposed perfectionistic prison that I felt I needed to live up to... That ideology exhausted me and this book helped me birthed a beautiful woman unafraid to just be and allow others the same birthright unconditionally without attaching a pre-determined outcome.

Listened to entire book twice before review
I loved this book. It’s powerful, clear, practical, and a relationship saver.
The examples given of a broad range of relationship struggles hits home to nearly every listener. For me, it was control. It opened my mind when I heard the authors describe the hurtful assumptions and demands we put on our loved ones as our “safe” mechanism to control the relationship.
Powerful book and I’m grateful I picked it up.

amazing!
I needed this book. It has shown me all the ways I went wrong in the most important relationship in my life. I truly realize that thru all the pain I want to learn to believe in true unconditional love!

Not very practical
I feel this book was written for single people and how they can avoid feeling incomplete by remaining single. The principles described in this book are very solid and intriguing, but I feel these are not very practical to the majority of people.
If your spouse or partner buys into any of this, you don't really need the book. For the rest, it could lead you to realize your relationship doesn't meet the "healthy" criteria laid out in the book, and could drive you to end it altogether.

You and your demons

Another Must-Read or Must-Hear
What a magnificent symbiosis of actual examples and teachings by the ancients and current mentors.
I love how the chapters are building up and the content making perfect sense.
There are a few exercises too, which are great to go back to should the going get tough.
Doing and dating the exercises is also a great way to understand how much and fast/ steady we develop.
Wonderful, vital content on life, love, self acceptance and development - like all the other books by the Ruiz’s. Amazing!
The voice Charlie Varon is blissful to listen to as always. It is easy to understand and changing the pace is possible as well - his language and pronunciation remain spotless and easy to follow.
