    Description

Raven and her sister, Cara, are at the mercy of a small detachment of Florentine vampyres who are delivering them as a peace offering to the feared Curia in Rome. Though she's unsure William survived the coup that toppled his principality, Raven is determined to protect her sister at all costs, even if it means challenging Borek, the commander of the detachment. In an effort to keep Raven from falling into the hands of his enemies, William puts himself at the mercy of the Roman, the dangerous and mysterious vampyre king of Italy. But the Roman is not what he expects.

Alliances and enmities will shift and merge as William struggles to save the woman he loves and his principality without plunging the vampyre population into a world war. This stunning conclusion to the Florentine series will take listeners across Italy and beyond as the lovers fight to remain together...forever.

    Excellent Conclusion To Florentine Saga!!

Great ending for William and Raven. Even great ending for Gaberiel and Julianne. Listening and Reading at the same time, the printed book was very different from audiobook, phrases changed, some sentences omitted. Audiobook better. The richness of the literature and history of Florence, Geneva, Prague, and other cities sighted in audiobook was very enjoyable. Love the cariture devolvement as spane over four books, some lovable, some pure evil, some a little of both. A must read. New narrator was fair needs to know the correct pronunciation of Beatrice.

Sylvain Reynard is my new favorite author

I loved it. I still feel like there should be more to their story. I hope Sylvain will give us more of William and Raven's story. My emotions were ALL over the place. I'll definitely listen again. I gave an earlier bad review of the narrator at which I am correcting now. I recently very sadly found out that John Michael Morgan, the previous narrator of the Gabriel's Inferno and The Florentine series had passed away before he could narrate The Roman. I unfairly gave Robertson Dean a bad review simply because he wasn't John Morgan. As I relistened, I began to enjoy listening to him without the irritation I had before. I realized I'd been very unfair.

    Just my opinion -

Book 1 and 2 “5 stars” great stories and side characters I liked and wanted to know more about...

I usually do not like to leave a negative review-but the ending was very so so for me...

It gave a conclusion for the story-but I feel with how Book 1&2 went -I was just let down and I did not like what happened with the main character in the end-but that’s just my opinion

    Loved it

I loved this book couldn't put it down. Raven and her sister Cara are being taken by vampires to the Curia to show that they want peace. William and Aoibhe started to fight their way out of being executed. When William reached Raven and Cara they went to Rome to asked for their help with the Curia. William and Raven and Cara went back to Florence after speaking to the Roman and William was again the prince. When Ibarra killed someone and put him on display for everyone to see, the Romans sent an ordered for William to sent Raven to him. William made a deal with the Curia to be changed back to human against Raven's plead, but when the exercism was complete William was dead.

Great End to a Great Series

I hated the change in narrator but he turned out to be really good and I could hardly tell the difference. Loved the ending.

Disappointed in how this last book was read...

So, I'm not sure why this whole book seems to be read in whispers, like if we had to talk in a library. I found it quite distracting. Also, how the narrator portrays William is a stark contrast to the first two books. This narrator makes William sound weak and not the intimidating, powerful age old vampire that the first narrator/ writer established. I like Robertson Dean narration in other books, but not so much in this one. I know they are busy narrating other books, but sometimes, especially in trilogies, they should really listen to previous books to get a good foundation to the characters.

    Mesmerizing and intense!

William and Raven find that they have enemies at every turn. William seeks the help of his father, and Raven seeks only to secure her sisters safety, she seeks help from the one person she thought would help, only to find that he too would betray both her and William.
