Description

IT’S A MONSTER FILLED WITH TOXIC,TORMENT & THRILLS
Friction and fight.. and passion and love as Danny, Rose, James and Beau try to overcome the emotional, murderous, cryptic and life-threatening hurdles that have ALL erupted and disrupted their lives and their relationships. It’s a toxic tsunami as each wounded person tries to get heard.. as blame nearly breaks bonds.. as the characters of strong-willed people have to bend and change.. or break. The Brit and The Enigma must work together to find and kill The Bear before he destroys everything they hold dear and the journey holds many many spanners and secrets that Jodi has oh so cleverly hidden in amongst the sizzles, shivers and suspense. The hot and spicy doesn’t outweigh the climactic drama.. however, it does crank-up the intense tension-filled chemistry, sensitivity, damage, passion and possessive love between these lovers. A great cast of secondary characters gives it a family feel as the angst, action, and turmoil deliciously unravels. And the four POV stellar narrators fit each of the characters perfectly and their magic brought this awesome instalment of the Unlawful Men to life.
Worth a credit? Firstly, it’s great to have a whole book instead of one broken down into three or four part/four credit cliffhanger drawn-out instalments.. so a big THANK YOU.. THANK YOU.. THANK YOU for not doing that. And secondly YES it’s absolutely, definitely and criminally worth the credit because it’s a fantastic feast of characters and feels that you don’t want to say goodbye to.

AMAZING!!!
The overall story was amazing!!! But Rose and Beau got on my FREAKING NERVES!!! I’m all for the heroine, but they just needed to sit TF down!!! They make me sick with their back and forth insecurities and double standards!!! If they want to be soooo strong, they need to stop falling back into their trauma and pull their sh*t together!! And this is no dig at trauma….it’s real!! I know that all too well, but geeesh!! Give these men a break and let them love you!!! I may have more to write later because I still have 6 hours to go, but I had to get this off my chest after Chapter 24 ended!!!

Jodi always amazes me with her wonderful writing story and the narrator's do such a great job bringing the story to life in my mind. Can't wait for the next book

Don’t waste a credit..
I loved all the other books in this series but this one is so boring. 12 hrs of Beau whining and Rose and Danny fighting. The story is seriously lacking. Narration is ok but James sounds like a 60 yr old man, very off putting.

May be my favorite in series!!
Jodi Ellen Malpas has done it again! The Rising my be my favorite within the Unlawful Men series so far. The continuation of Danny, Rose, James, and Beau was beautifully written!
The ups and downs, twists and turns you endure through the entire series have you wanting more and more. Thankfully multiple plot twists are tied up in a bow by the time you are finished but not to fret of course there is yet another small cliff that we get to hang on for a bit! Haha
The story is amazing and loved every second of it, the narration of this series gave an entire new feel to the books and it was amazingly done. The last couple books, having four lead characters and them each having their own narrator took these to a whole new level.
Cannot praise these books and author enough!!!
