Aspiring cartoonist Catherine "Cat" Gold earns her living as a celebrity assistant in uptown Manhattan, while navigating the cramped downtown spaces of life, love, and alternative art. When Cat is burned by Rocky, she teams with the ghostwriter to publish Rocky’s unsavory history. This savvy and quietly funny story is told from Cat’s perspective, which is both young and knowing. With her clear and sober tone narrator Marisa Vitali shares Cat’s view of life along with an authentic, inside vision of Manhattan life.
