The comeback role was supposed to change Elara Johnson's life. The fake boyfriend was never part of the script.
Fresh off a broken engagement, the former child star arrives in Scotland with one final chance to reclaim her career. All she needs is enough publicity to make the world pay attention.
Brody "Big" Gammon needs a comeback of his own. After a suspension and a final warning from his team, the notoriously reckless rugby star must prove he can stay out of trouble. Dating a beautiful actress could be the perfect play.
They agree to pose for the cameras, sell the romance, and keep their feelings out of it.
But every staged touch leaves Elara wanting something real. Behind closed doors, Brody awakens desires she spent years suppressing, while she slips past defenses he never intended to lower.
Soon, the only performance left is pretending neither of them is falling.
