When the notorious pirate captain Redbone forms a new band of buccaneers, the Pirates Born of Iron and Blood, honor is a matter of life or death. Redbone’s grand idea seems reasonable—at least in a world where pirates also rule the high seas and many of the seaports. The Bloody Hag, a cold and ghastly-looking device, was created from Redbone’s imagination for this one purpose only: to bring together only the pirates worthy of the honor of wearing its mark of honor on their wrist.
