    Captivating !

    After finding the first book a little simplistic, I was hesitant to continue with the second book. However, my curiosity got the best of me, and I have no regrets. The second book is significantly more intricate and refined than its predecessor. It serves as a powerful ode to femininity, addressing contemporary social issues. The infusion of African tales as inspiration is particularly striking, as the author, just like a griot, skillfully transports readers to a fantastical world that truly captivates. I found myself listening to the book in one sitting !
    The narrator is such a great fit ! With stars in my eyes, I eagerly anticipate the release of the third book.
