Rebecca Macauley
But lots of things during this accident-prone holiday surprise Bella: families work in strange ways, and unexpected things do happen.
©1993 Ursula Dubosarsky (P)2002 Bolinda Publishing Pty Ltd.Editor's review
Rebecca Macauley delivers an engaging performance of Ursula Dubosarsky’s middle-grade novel The Last Week in December. Her silvery voice and warm manner are well suited for this delightful audiobook. Bella, age 11, has been harboring a dreadful secret for three years since her English relatives last visited. These relations are set to return during the last week in December, and Bella is sure that they know what she did and that they intend to expose her. The visit sets off a series of unexpected events - nothing that Bella could have ever imagined.
Reviews
"Macauley successfully mingles both English and Australian accents in a manner understandable to American listeners. An excellent lesson is presented through a moving story." (AudioFile)
