Willie Nelson
Willie Nelson is a giant of country music. He has sold more than 50m records, written hits for Patsy Cline, Roy Orbison and Neil Young, and was part of the country supergroup The Highwaymen with Johnny Cash.
Now aged 92, he has written a warm, funny, entertaining reflection on the twilight of his life. With humour and defiance, he faces his maker, makes amends to his long-suffering wife, Annie, and ponders the extra years he has been given after almost dying of Covid in 2021.
His book offers a personal tour of the inspirations and processes behind his songwriting, as he recounts the genesis of some of his most famous songs. It is an incredibly warm and touching tribute to his wife, his contemporaries, and his remarkable career.
