During the golden age of piracy life at sea was harsh and violent, and so were the men that sailed them. Often this violence came back with them to the shore where if a man were to get in their way, they would be lucky to leave with their lives. For the women it was much worse, and although many got to keep their lives, they were destroyed body and soul.
Mary is one of those women. She has survived the worst atrocities that a woman can endure, all at the hands of a pirate. Now with a ship and a thirst for revenge she's putting a crew together, all women with a tale like her own, all wanting what only Mary can offer them, vengeance.
