Histoire
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

Tiffany can't avoid being funny: it's just who she is. But The Last Black Unicorn is so much more than a side-splittingly hilarious collection of essays - it's a memoir of the struggles of one woman who came from nothing and nowhere. A woman who was able to achieve her dreams by reveling in her pain and awkwardness, showing the world who she really is, and inspiring others through the power of laughter.

When his mother became president, Alex Claremont-Diaz was promptly cast as the American equivalent of a young royal. Where does a moderately popular internet star who never leaves her house look for potential suitors? Online. Tinder, Bumble, Match.com, OkCupid - I tried them all. My 31-year-old self clicked and swiped her little heart out, leading to more dates than I could count, and more disappointment than I was prepared for. Maybe you can relate. Maybe you know all too well the perils of modern dating.

An insightful, candid, and inspiring memoir from Karamo Brown - Queer Eye’s beloved culture expert - as he shares his story for the first time, exploring how the challenges in his own life have allowed him to forever transform the lives of those in need. When Karamo Brown first auditioned for the casting directors of Netflix’s Queer Eye, he knew he wouldn’t win the role of culture expert by discussing art and theater. Instead, he decided to redefine what “culture” could - and should - mean for the show. He took a risk and declared, “I am culture.”

From YouTube superstars and creators of Good Mythical Morning comes the ultimate guide to living a "mythical" life, featuring stories from their lifelong friendship as well as tips for laughing more, learning more, and never taking yourself too seriously.
Description
The four cocreators of the Try Guys, one of the Internet’s most popular and viral sensations, deliver their first audiobook - an inspirational self-improvement guide that teaches you that the path to success is littered with humiliating detours, embarrassing offenses, and unexpected failures.
Best friends and social media stars Eugene, Keith, Ned, and Zach are admired for their curiosity, humor, bravado, and fearlessness. But that self-confidence came from their willingness to take big risks - being open to try something new or unusual, even if they failed spectacularly in the attempt. To be our best selves, we have to challenge ourselves. In dedicating ourselves to embracing fear, foolishness, and embarrassment, we can learn to recognize the ways in which we often hold ourselves back.
In The Hidden Power of F*cking Up, they swap some of their best stories and offer encouragement and hard advice to help you become a Try Guy, too. Whether they’re experiencing what it’s like to be in labor with a pain-simulation machine, marching on the streets of Los Angeles in heels, learning to dance ballet (with a professional dancer and some talented tots), replicating the ancient Olympics, or trying to bake bread without a recipe - their hilarious escapades are accented by their “throw caution to the wind” attitudes, encouraging listeners to become their best flawed and f--ked up selves.
Throughout, Eugene, Keith, Ned, and Zach open the doors to the past, showing their fans how four nerdy, timid, self-conscious boys grew up into four super-hot mega-babes secure in their insecurities. They offer key advice on what to do when faced with impending failure - and how to push through to the other side - provide anecdotes about their experiences curating their sure-fail philosophy and introduce each of their new challenges to the listeners for the first time (Ned’s impossible challenges as a first-time father and Keith’s goal of curbing his fried chicken habit by going vegan).

Too scattered and no real continuity.
Keith's chapter on health just made me angry. That's more my issue than anything else because I have chronic illnesses that make healthy living a huge challenge for me.
Ned's chapter was disappointing. Too much filler and weirdness.
Zach's chapter was interesting.
Eugene's chapter was probably the best of them all, though I imagine it was hard to write and keep his family anonymous.
The biggest thing that bothered me is that a chapter would start featuring a specific Try Guy and then it would be an aside to some other Try Guy's quasi-related story as like a sidebar before going back to the main point of the chapter, which may work layout wise in a print book, but really does not work in an audio book and leaves the listener feeling lost and scattered. This bothered me most during Eugene's family chapter. The outtakes at the end were unnecessary and were kind of loud.
As a long-time Try Guy's fan I was actually really disappointed by this. Maybe the print book is better.

Non-revelatory and Repetitive
If you watch the Try Guys on YouTube then you don't need to listen to this book because you already have a pretty good idea of who Ned, Zach, Eugene, and Keith are as people. I found the content of this book non-revelatory and repetitive. The overall performance and overuse of curse words left me very annoyed as I listened on my drive to work.

Mediocre at best
I’m a huge fan of the try guys & to be honest I was a bit disappointed in this book. I feel like I just expected more especially since it was so hyped I found myself wanting more in many areas & wanting less in some areas, I was vastly annoyed Ned’s wife was in the book yet no one else had anyone else in the book, it just showed how controlling she is & in their relationship, in the chapter Love she appears & was constantly correcting Ned, just knowing the try guys out of the book Ned is always up how wifes ass & yes they are married but they are still individuals & it’s like he can’t ever be alone even in this book apparently. I wasn’t fulfilled by this & was disappointed

It's ok.
Entire book: "#@¢% up because you'll learn from it."
Honestly Zach was pretty annoying. Ned's section was just weird, they just narrated a try video. Keith's section was good. Eugene's was really good.

The Try Guys are the best! I laughed, I teared up, and I commiserated with them on failure and life's milestones. Give this book a listen and be part of their conversation!

I was hoping for a relaxing listen
I really dislike the narration of this audiobook i regret purchasing it instead of getting the real book. I don't like the constant swapping of narrators and really don't like when they talk in unison. It didn't seem natural I just felt like I was watching a try guys video instead of being inspired by some stories that touched me

The Try Guys Try Writing a Book
Honestly, I really loved this book. I think my only complaint is that at some point, in Chapter 3, it became less of a book and more of a TryPod episode. Until that point, I loved everyone’s individual input and stories regarding the particular topic that the chapter was about. There was a lot of honesty and openness from each of the guys. But chapter 3....it was just a hodgepodge of all the guys commenting on Ned’s outfits. None of which were much different from the episode on YouTube.
All in all, this was a good listen and I love the guys. I just preferred the more intimate chapters than the TryPod’esque, everyone going all in, chapters.

I couldn't get through it.
I LOVE the try guys on youtube. They're fantastic, funny witty and a great mix of people.
But this book... I could not do it. It lacked something. It was awkward and very self help in a way that was uncomfortable. I am ok with advice and such but this just felt forced. I really wanted to love this but I couldn't.
