Nadia Chen expected a quiet summer volunteering at a botanical garden. What she found instead was a pattern. Missing records. Unlabeled plants. Gaps in a system that was supposed to preserve everything.
As Nadia begins documenting what others have overlooked, a larger problem emerges—hundreds of seed entries recorded decades ago, but never fully transferred into the system meant to protect them.
With the help of another volunteer and a longtime groundskeeper, Nadia sets out to finish what was left incomplete.
But the deeper she goes, the clearer it becomes: Nothing here was lost. It was simply never finished.
A quiet, intelligent mystery about memory, preservation, and the fragile systems we trust to hold what matters.
