They escaped Hungary. But freedom was still a long way away. After fleeing the 1956 Hungarian Revolution with three small children, Teri and Jozsi have finally crossed the border. They are safe from the Soviet forces—but their journey is far from over.Behind the gates of a Yugoslav refugee camp, the family must learn how to survive a life they never imagined. Food is scarce. Privacy is almost nonexistent. The future depends on countries willing to accept refugees they have never met.But Jozsi refuses to sit quietly and wait.Through hardship, ingenuity, danger, laughter, and heartbreaking goodbyes, the family holds on to one thing no border or refugee camp can take from them: hope.Based on the true story of Eva Szilagyi's family, The Eleventh Arrow: Book Two — Life in a Refugee Camp continues their remarkable journey toward a new home and a new life. They escaped their country. Now they have to find somewhere in the world to belong.©2026 Eva Szilagyi (P)2026 Eva Szilagyi
