    Description

One of the most fascinating psychological struggles of the modern world revolves around the competing tension between existential philosophy and metaphysical spirituality. "The Dream of a Ridiculous Man" beautifully encapsulates the extremes of both points of view and provides the listener a front row seat to a battle that still rages today.

Worth reading, I mean it's Dostoyevski

A short yet captivating story. I think the narrator was sold. Overall, money well spent.

    Interesting

I bought this book because I happen to enjoy the reader. I found the story kept my interest and have been enjoying it. I have many other books by this reader with similar interesting story lines. Highly recommend.

Disappointing narration of a great story

A wonderful story, but the narration grates. However, it's still worth a listen because: Dostoyevsky

    Even at 59 minutes....

It was a fight to get through this narration. Michael Scott has an odd accent or lilt to each sentence which makes him sound either extremely high, or almost robotic. The only bearable solution I could find was to place the speed at X1.5 which not only cut 15 minutes off the total oratory time, but made his odd habit of sentence cadence almost bearable. William Shatner uses dramatic and unnecessary pauses less than this narrator.

The content however, is absolutely riveting. Don't let the title fool you, this book is truly one man's interpretation of the true meaning of life, and it deserves a read. Just not by Michael Scott. Sorry Mike.

Awesome , parable and twilight zone colide

Having never read Fyodor Dostoyevsky, I had no idea what a moving experience he would paint. So very anxious am I to share this amazing read with family and friends. Savor this anyone that gets a chance.

    And his nothing but ridiculous

This book will tell the value of living in a society full of prejudgment and prejudice. The truth make him ridiculous and ridiculous make him the truth.
