The Earth is a different place after the continental convergence, but teenage girls are facing the same social challenges while transitioning from high school and into the real world where magic and science now co-exist. Kristen is skipping school and coping with the loss of her father when she meets the grim reaper under an old washed-out shop of curiosities in the abandoned Art District.
While he isn’t there to administer her the death touch, he is there to help her kill Time in a plot involving the personifications of Fate, Mother Nature, and the Father of Lies. After her breakthrough experience with Death, things get weird for Kristen and her crew. When they suspect something bad has happened to her, they embark on a rescue mission fit for the birds.
