À propos de ce contenu audio

Raised to be my father’s weapon against the Coven that took away his sister and his birthright, I would do anything to protect my younger brother from suffering the same fate. My duty forces me to the secret town of Crystal Hollow and the prestigious Hollow’s Grove University—where the best and brightest of my kind learn to practice their magic free from human judgment.

There are no whispered words here. No condemnation for the blood that flows through my veins. The only animosity I face comes from the beautiful and infuriating Headmaster, Alaric Grayson Thorne, a man who despises me just as much as I loathe him and everything he stands for.

But that doesn’t mean secrets don’t threaten to tear the school in two. No one talks about the bloody massacre that forced it to close decades prior, only the opportunity it can afford to those fortunate enough to attend.

Because for the first time in fifty years, the Coven will open its wards to the Thirteen: thirteen promising students destined to change the world.

If the ghosts of Hollow’s Groves’ victims don’t kill them first...

The Coven is book one in the Coven of Bones series and ends on a cliffhanger. This is a gothic, dark-academia, paranormal romance and includes elements that may be triggering to some listeners.

This one has been in my TBR for a long time and I finally got caught in the witchy reading season! I didn’t really know what it was about and going in blind into books I was drawn to is my new favorite pastime! I enjoyed this one sooo much! The magic system was refreshingly simple yet rooted into lore and had its own unique spin to it.

I wish the FMC was at least 18 coz some of the things she did were definitely not age appropriate 🥹 however I loved her confidence and the way she felt like a witch queen from the start!

This gave me Gothikana meets Practical Magic vibes - And that is not a combo I thought I needed in my life!

The ending of this duet (?) leaves you wanting more! Alaric (which is one of my fave VD characters - I know some of you find that a controversial opinion!) is simple and suave, he doesn’t really have to do much to get his way but that’s just because he’s kind of delicious.

I appreciate sometimes the simple setting of books, using elements, creatures and facts we all know and most of us love 🖤 it leaves room for the story to build, the mood and for the characters to develop.

As always shout out to the wonderful narrators of the audiobook Ellis Evans & Emilia Bauer, both new to me but doing an amazing job at intertwining these characters and giving them life!

To Harper L Woods thank you for making my Halloween reading goals with this wonderful story 🖤
Now we go to The Cursed 🖤

Perfect witchy season read 🖤

Thankfully i got the kindle version too and there is indeed 2 chapters missing ! As there is 42 chapters and not 40 in total. The 27 chapter isn't the right one and been skipped, entirely missing sadly. The chapter 26 and 28 are synchronized into one only chapter which makes it confusing since it's jumping into 2 very different scenes.

2 chapters missing though
