Description

Keeping a secret this big is going to take lots of balls. Specifically, rugby balls.

The Cad

Bryan Leech is a cad.

Or, he was a cad.

No one is quite certain.

Once the quintessential playboy, Bryan claims he's done with wild parties and weekend benders. No more one night stands leading to mornings he can't remember; no more binges and blackouts; no more exploits plastered all over the tabloids and rag sheets. According to Bryan, he's cleaning up his act.

The only problem is, no one believes him.

The Co-ed

Eilish Cassidy never thought she'd be a mother at 19 or still in college at 24. Cut off from every member of her family except her favorite cousin, she's finally managed put her life back together. Stronger and wiser, Eilish enters her last semester of university determined to stand on her own. Now she just needs to find an internship.

The only problem is, her best option - by far - places her directly in the path of her son's father, and he doesn't remember her at all.

The Plan

Bryan is determined to prove he's changed. Eager to settle down with the right woman, he's got his sights set on the gorgeous redhead who seems terribly familiar.

Eilish is determined to hide her secret. She'll do anything to keep her child safe, even if that means ignoring her own wishes and desires.

But what happens when Bryan starts to remember? And what will it take for Bryan to convince the girl he forgot that she's unforgettable?

Male Narrator

I'm not sure if the man was reading or legit experiencing these things but damn he's freaking good.

Awful Narrators

The male narrator's affectation of the female Irish voices makes them sound like ancient, blue-blooded leprechauns. And the female narrator draws out every word even when it isn't appropriate. During love scenes it can work, but it doesn't need to be EVERY WORD throughout the book. As for the story, the main girl was infuriating. The cousin's behavior seemed completely out of character with how he acted in the previous book. And the miscommunication about the custody case was taken to absurd lengths.

4 The Cad and the Co-Ed Stars

Ok so I really wasn’t sure what to expect with this book. I knew the players but I wasn’t really invested until about chapter 5ish. Bryan is a player on the team that Sean and Ronan play on and he is the “Cad” a player a womanizer. Who finds time self-drunk a lot and well he doesn’t remember most of that time in his life. He is now reformed and in AA.

Eilish is Sean’s cousin we meet her in book 2 a little bit, and she and Bryan hit it off only he doesn’t remember.

And well things happen and a few years later now that Bryan is sober, she has somethings she needs to tell him.

It really is a great story of strength and overcoming for both of them.
I do think my favorite part was getting to see Sean take on the brother roll for Eilish. I really liked Sean’s book and it felt natural that he was in this one the way that he was.

Great narration I am a huge fan of the accents swoon worthy right there!

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Really sweet couple, secret baby

I liked this story a lot- it is a secret baby story with Bryan and Eilish having gotten together for one night and Bryan forgetting about the night. 5 years later, he sees Eilish again and then, finds out he's a father. Bryan, earlier in the story, was an alcoholic but he decided to quit and the story resumed when he was 2 years sober. I loved that the authors showed that while it is difficult to overcome an addiction, it is possible and when he did, he became such a fantastic person- sweet, loving and a perfect dad. I liked how Eilish was too- as a character, she was sweet and forgiving but also portrayed as a great mother. Overall, the best part of this story is just how sweet the couple is. George Allan and KC Sheridan narrated and they did a great job- great ability to play multiple characters and switch over to cover different accents. I enjoyed the audiobook.

Wrong Ending...

It would have been great if there had been a wedding & none of the h's family save one was invited, especially her mother. Their condescending attitude towards her & her son, her son especially!? Calling him"That Child". That made my blood boil.

Just okay

It's not the best story that Penny Reid has written. I liked the first one better. I just had trouble with the guilt that the main character has because she gets pregnant. She doesn't express any anger or bitterness over the fact that Bryan goes on with his life unfettered and carefree for 5 years, that he doesn't even remember her? I get that he had an alcohol problem but what if he had never gotten sober? How long would she go on without him? I didn't feel as invested in this relationship as I did in the first book.
