The Bible is not primarily about you... and that is very good news! This book invites you to read the whole of Scripture the way Jesus said it should be read: as one unified story that centers on His person, His work, and His promises, not on your performance or potential.
In The Bible According to Jesus, Jon Moffitt helps you lay down the exhausting burden of treating the Bible as a rulebook, roadmap, or inspirational manual and recover it as a revelation of Christ for weary sinners. Along the way, you will learn to distinguish Law and Gospel, trace the covenantal storyline of redemption, and recognize how every passage fits into the larger drama of what God has done, is doing, and will do in His Son.
With clarity and pastoral warmth, this book will re-enchant your reading of Scripture by exposing the false gospels of our age, unmasking the idols that still stalk our hearts, and equipping you to stand firm in the finished work of Christ. Whether you are a new believer, a tired saint, or a ministry leader, The Bible According to Jesus will teach you how to open your Bible with confidence, hear its warnings without losing hope, and rest more deeply in the grace that holds you from first the beginning to the end.
