very sweet

In these times of covid I am really enjoying these sweeter stories. Not really up for trauma, pandemic, apocalyptic, dystopian world stories anymore.

Cute for Youth

Cute book for youngsters. Entertaining and a nice listen, especially for those in High School or younger.

Mehhhhhhhhh

I really wanted to love this book. The narrator does a decent job, but might actually make the main protagonist sound more melodramatic than if you just read it in your head. But the worst part overall is the boring story. I literally kept rolling my eyes and wondering how the logistics of fantastical magical beings were only known by a few but not hidden barely at all? Not to mention I wanted some kind of twist or omg moment. Instead I got a rather boring plot that included ridiculous inner dialogue. I was so bored I found the physical book so I could skip to the end to see if anything exciting ever happens... spoiler alert... not really. :/

Didn’t expect the ending

I thought she would at least manifest more powers or have something wrong with her magic. I don’t get the point at all on this...narrator is awesome

SOOO FREAKING GOOD

The narrator is fantastic! She really brings the story to life. I enjoyed the story from beginning to ending and highly recommend it!!! I’m 28 and absolutely enjoyed it. Can’t wait to listen to the next two books in the series!!!! If you love magic, you’ll love this book.

really sweet

I liked the ups and downs of the book. but the main character's ups and downs about her relationship at the end got tiring. probably appropriate for a YA audience.

Cute but MEH

This is clearly a YA novel about a high school girl. If that's not for you don't want a credit. And if you do like YA its okay if you can listen for free.

This story was just okay, it does kind of ramp up for a moment but that's about it. This feels like groundwork for a bunch of other stories not just one and I think that's why it's so meh.

The protagonist does have this annoying inner dialogue that makes no sense. She actually walked us through the recipe for a pie at some point for no reason. She also says things that don't make much sense to her character or her age.
Like "I've dated/kissed a guy before of course" but at the same time avoids boys becuase of her gift and can't remember the last time she was close to one
Or her dialogue sounds like it would be better for for an older character. I could see these characters being ages up and the story making more sense

It's entertaining and cute, I like the world but I won't be checking out the next one in the series.

My truth

She has spunk that none witch! And the struggle is real when your screen and faced with knowing what she knows. It’s such a cute book I can’t wait to see it’s ending. Also the reader is wonderful just wish she was better at male voices. Tho I know ya hard to do different voices anyway so kudos to her for being able to keep me listening! 🖤

I love YA. This is so up my alley. It was so lighthearted. Just the right amount of stress, romance and fun.
