I'm Bella Shade, and I live in New York, a city terrorized by the teenage vampires of the Red Claws gang. Those evil monsters have allegedly murdered dozens of people here in Manhattan, including my mom. Oh, God! How I miss her!
So far, the NYPD has no clue. Except for the fact that all their victims have been found with bite marks on their neck, no blood left in their bodies, and with their vital organs surgically removed. According to the police, they must be selling body parts to underground traffic rings. But to this date, nothing has been proved.
I never expected that I'd be next in line.... Now my life has turned into a real nightmare. Hunted by vampires and forced to take part in a paranormal war I never wanted a part of, I might be the only one who can stop them. But it will mean giving up the one thing my heart can't bare to lose!
