Caveat emptor

This book neither assists you in teaching yourself how to play piano, nor is it the fastest or easiest- let alone, most entertaining way to do so. There is virtually nothing here that a person who is motivated to learn to play the piano couldn't figure out on their own. The quantum jumps the author takes from describing an individual who has never played a piano, to someone looking at looking at sheet music for the first time, to magically being able to play songs to playing in front of others (with no discernible explanation as to how this has all transpired) are risible. Easily the poorest audio book I've ever encountered.

very bad audiobook

many words were incorrectly used. most piano advice was basic and rudimentary but even that was poorly explained. second half of book dedicated to "becoming a producer". that's an impossible leap from basics to making a profession out of music.

Excellent!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I have not played piano much since my college days, and I found the progression from theory to practice to be helpful for refreshing my long diminished skills.

Very helpful

My favorite thing about the book is the breakdown with left hand songs and right hand songs. Which eventually leads up to songs that use two hands. It breaks it down for you in the beginning and as you get better, it adds challenge. Which is wonderful.

Nice Book

It gives a simple breakdown on chord progression and even more simple than that, basic finger patterns and technique. It also comes with a big list of songs that you can learn, a lot of them beautiful songs.

Highly recommend

I had been wanting to learn piano for a while, and when this was suggested to me, I jumped right on it. This is not the first piano book I've used, but it's definitely one of the best.
